Research

Research at DiSLL covers four broad subject areas: Linguistics, Philology, Literature, and Performing Arts. In particular, DiSLL promotes study and advanced research into European and trans-continental literary and linguistic traditions, languages, texts, authors, historical and cultural contexts and related theoretical and methodological issues. At the same time, DiSLL strongly favours an interdisciplinary and comparative approach: this entails paying attention to linguistic and cultural interaction and dialogue, being aware of the permanent link existing between teaching and research, and considering the possible impact research may have on the community from a cultural and operational point of view.
